Many of us have had the problem of acne and blemishes in our teens. Some women have had the problem during their 20’s and 30’s, especially around their menstrual cycle. As teenagers, we always thought that cleaning our skin was one of the cures for acne, but it seemed like the acne would go away for awhile and then come back. It was frustrating and it did cause problems with our confidence. It’s hard to feel attractive with a big pimple on your nose or around your cheeks and forehead.
There wasn’t very much material to find on the cures of acne for us a couple of decades ago. But lately, some research has been done and there have been some results from this research. For one thing, your diet has a lot to do with your skin. Eating bad fats, like cheeseburgers and fries, will have an affect on your skin. Eating too many sweets will too. So the first thing you need to do is make sure you are eating a balanced diet. Make sure you eat fruits and fresh vegetables, and when you eat meats make them lean meats. You also need to drink lots of water. Water is one of the best ways of flushing out toxins in your body, these toxins are a big contributor to acne.
There are some natural ways of acne blemish removal. Never, don’t ever, pick at your pimples. You’ll leave scars that will last forever, as well as your fingernails having germs and bacteria on them to make the problem worse. This is not one of the cures for acne, even though people have used it as such in the past.
There are natural things like using lemons to take some of the bacteria off of your skin, which could be one of the cures for acne. The lemons also have tendency to fade the blemishes so they’re not so obvious. Another thing you can do is make a paste of baking soda and water and rub it into the blemishes. This acts like a scrub to your face, which eliminates dirt and dead skin on your face.
Then after you have scrubbed, you can put some tea tree oil on your blemishes. Tea tree oil has been thought of as one of the most effective cures for acne. It is anti-bacterial and an anti-fungal. It’s found on some leaves on a tree that grows in Australia. It was first found to be the cure for athletes foot and bad breath and body odor. It has become very popular as an acne blemish removal, but some say it actually just attacks the symptoms and not the root of the problem. It won’t hurt to try it, but the root of the problem needs to be addressed as well, and that is your health, getting exercise, eating right and getting plenty of rest.
